Russia - Norway. Press-conference

16.05.2016

Russian head coach Oleg Znarok:

- We had a lot of chances in the first period, and we were a bit unlucky. Overall, I congratulate everyone with the win.

Norwegian head coach Roy Johansen:

- First of all, I congratulate Russia with the win. They have a great team, and I wish them luck in the quarter-finals. We took a lot of penalties in the first period, and it was a good result to get to the break 0:0. We improved in the second and third periods, however couldn’t take advantage of our chances. It has been a heavy tournament for us, and we have had goalscoring opportunities throughout the championship.

- Steffen Soberg made his 2016 World Championship debut. Did you want him to play with special motivation?

- We had to put him in net. He played a great game, and he is an excellent goalkeeper. He kept us in the match in the first frame. Our problem in this tournament is our lack of goalscoring, not our goalkeepers. He has played good World Championship matches beforehand.
