Yury Volkov has passed away

On the 17th of May, world champion and honoured Master of Sports Yury Volkov died at 80 years of age. The Russian Ice Hockey Federation offers its sincere condolences to all of Yury's family and friends.

Played for HC Krylya Sovetov Moscow, Lokomotiv Moscow, and Dynamo Moscow

USSR championship silver medalist in 1956, 1962, 1963 and 1964, bronze medalist in 1966 and 1967

Went on to coach Dynamo Moscow and Dynamo Berlin
