Russia - Germany. A statistical look

- This was the first match against Germany in Moscow. 

- Russia's third goal was the 100th in 31 games between these two teams, and our fourth marker was the 50th at 14 World Championship fixtures.

- Vadim Shipachyov now has 30 points from 25 World Championship matches, and this is a new Russian record - Danis Zaripov and Evgeny Malkin reached that landmark after 29 appearances. Also, Vadim made his 20th Russian assist in 25 World Championship matches, beating Evgeny Malkin's previous best of 20 in 29. He is currently the competition's top scorer with 16 points (5+11).

- Never before has a Russian player taken 11 assists at one World Championship. The previous record was held by Sergei Zinovyev in 2007 (10).

- At eleven World Championships, Alexander Ovechkin has scored at least one goal. He only failed to net at one edition of the tournament in 2011.

- Defenseman Maxim Chudinov played his 80th national team match, and he has 21 points to his name (8+13).

- In his 60th Russian game, Evgeny Dadonov took his 40th point (13+27).

- With 24 World Championship matches under his belt, Sergei Bobrovsky has moved up to second place in the list of goaltenders who have played at this competition. Only Maxim Sokolov has played more games - 28.

- Roman Lyubimov already has 11 points (6+5) from only 10 national team matches.

- Nikita Zaitsev has played in 10 World Championship games, and has 5 points (2+3).

- In his 11th appearance, Ivan Telegin dished out his inaugural assist. He already has four goals on the books.
