In memory of Viktor Tikhonov

04.06.2025
Viktor Tikhonov, a true legend of Soviet ice hockey, would today have turned 95 years of age.
Rightly regarded as one of the greatest coaches to have ever lived, steered our senior national team to three Olympic gold medals, eight World Championship triumphs and the 1981 Canada Cup.
Interestingly, despite boasting more titles than any other coach in world ice hockey history, Viktor is yet to be inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame.
