RIHF seminars for coaches and referees in Norilsk

18.03.2025
Between the 15th and 16th of March, representatives of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) visited Norilsk.

As a part of the implementation of the program for training ice hockey specialists and exchanging experiences, they held theoretical classes for coaches, ice and theoretical classes for referees and a meeting with the parents of young athletes.

During the seminars, the participants were able to better understand the issues of statistics and the specifics of maintaining a registry, discuss the intricacies of ice hockey refereeing and the psychological aspects of the work of athletes, coaches and referees.

The participants of the seminar noted that such events are of particular value for residents of remote cities, from where it is difficult to travel in large groups for training. The current seminars were attended by 25 coaches, and all of them, in their own words, learned a lot.

An important addition to the seminars was the meeting between the RIHF specialists and the parents of young players. It touched upon the issues of effective and safe support for children and effective interaction between parents and coaches. Parents had the opportunity to ask all their questions on the topic of sports education. The meeting was attended by 45 people, which indicates a high interest in this topic.
