Channel One Cup. Russia - KHL World Team

The maiden game of the 2024 Channel One Cup will see the Russian national team host the KHL World Team in Saint Petersburg.

Our players trained in these following groups ahead of the competition:

GROUP 1

Goalkeepers:

Ilya Nabokov, Artemiy Pleshkov, Vladislav Podyapolsky.

Defensemen:

Alexander Nikishin - Danila Galenyuk;

Ilya Karpukhin - Alexander Yelesin;

Arseniy Koromyslov - Bogdan Konyushkov;

Nikita Smirnov - Dmitry Simashev.

Forwards:

Vasily Glotov - Evgeny Kuznetsov - Sergei Plotnikov;

Arseniy Gritsyuk - Mikhail Grigorenko - Marat Khairullin;

Vitaly Abramov - Ilya Safonov - Maxim Sorkin;

Mikhail Kotlyarevsky - Ruslan Iskhakov - Prokhor Poltapov.

GROUP 2

Goalkeeper: Artemiy Pleshkov.

Defensemen:

Mikhail Gulyayev, Timur Kol, Magomed Sharakanov.

Forwards:

Nikita Korostelyov, Grigory Kuzmin, Ivan Demidov, Nikolai Polyakov.

The KHL World Team consists of foreign players competing in the Kontinental Hockey League. Famous coach Mike Keenan, who is a champion of both the NHL and KHL, is in charge of their side.

Puck-drop is scheduled for 18:30 local time at the SKA Arena. A live broadcast in Russia will be provided by Channel One.
