15.11.2024
The scientific conference held by the Ural State University of Physical Education brought together specialists to discuss issues and find solutions to the current problems of ice hockey training.
This scientific event boasts a high status and is included in the plan of scientific congresses and conferences of the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation for the current year.
The conference is also dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Ice Hockey and Football of the Ural State University of Physical Education. The work of the department is inextricably linked with the successes of Chelyabinsk ice hockey, with the names of outstanding athletes, coaches and scientists. In the summer of 2007, with the participation of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF), a higher school of coaches was organised at the department, the first graduation of which took place in 2008. During this time, more than 230 specialists have graduated, and roughly 500 coaches have been educated in advanced training programs. Among them are famous coaches with experience of working with the leading clubs of our country and our national teams: Valeri Belousov, Oleg Znarok, Andrei Nazarov, Andrei Razin, Anvar Gatiyatulin, Andrei Martemyanov and others.
Specialists representing the RIHF moderated the event, made reports and put together presentations. The topics of the reports touched upon the issues of improving the technical training of young ice hockey players, the use of automated information systems in the training of players of the sporting reserve and programming the training process in hockey. In the format of a scientific discussion, the experience of implementing the Red Machine National Development Program was discussed, while methodological and organisational solutions to the problems of training in youth ice hockey were also spoken about.
The Red Machine National Development Program is an innovative methodological program which allows for the implementation of a system-activity approach in the coaching of ice hockey players. The effectiveness and development of the program is ensured by the long-term support of Nornickel.
