Nikolai Voevodin speaks after beating Kazakhstan at the Future Cup

08.11.2024
The head coach of the under 20 Russian national team Nikolai Voevodin spoke after beating Kazakhstan at the Future Cup.

Russia U20 head coach Nikolai Voevodin:

"You can tell by the score that it was a challenging game. We created a lot of opportunities, but we lacked aggression on the crease and the final shot. It's time for these players to begin knocking on the KHL door, so we'll explain to them where they need to improve. Nevertheless, a win's a win.

"Our players lacked emotion? Yes, they didn't have the required drive. This is the second consecutive game in which this has been an issue. Hopefully, we will play with more aggression in our next match. All international tournaments are useful, our players can see what they are capable of while playing against other countries."
