Boris Mikhailov is 80!

Boris Mikhailov, a true legend of Soviet ice hockey, celebrates his birthday on 6 October!

During his glittering career, the hugely successful forward twice won the Olympic Games, the World Championship on seven occasions, the Challenge Cup once and participated in the Super Series in 1972, 1974, 1975 and 1976.

Furthermore, to this day, he remains the leading goalscorer of the Olympics and World Championships with 109 goals from 120 appearances.

Boris is currently a member of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) Board and Coaching Council.

The RIHF wishes Boris health, happiness and a very happy birthday!
