The IIHF has fined the RIHF

On the 6th of May 2024, the Disciplinary Committee of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) announced the decision to impose a fine of one million Swiss francs on the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) as a result of goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov playing in the 2023/2024 Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) season for CSKA Moscow.
The IIHF Disciplinary Committee decided that Fedotov's appearances for CSKA in the 2023/2024 campaign were in violation of the IIHF's rules concerning international transfers.
The RIHF will challenge the decision in accordance with the established procedure.
