Russia 25 presentation in Novogorsk

Ahead of the upcoming Liga Stavok Big National Team Tour, a special presentation of the Russia 25 team took place in Novogorsk.

Minister of Sport of the Russian Federation Oleg Matytsin:

- This event marks the start of our national team's unforgettable tour across Russian, Kazakh and Belarusian cities. I would like to congratulate everyone who has received the opportunity to represent our country, this is a result of your hard work! I am thankful to those who are discovering the opportunities to develop during these challenging times. This tour is a celebration for all ice hockey fans, they can see with their own eyes how our young, promising players are progressing.

President of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation Vladislav Tretiak:

- I remember when Vladimir Putin asked me to help the national team achieve victories which will unite the public. These words remind me of just how important the national team is for Russia. And now, during these difficult times, it's vital to play for the fans in different regions of our nation. The stadium was sold out for our U20 national team's games in Novosibirsk, and now the time has come for Russia 25 to repeat the feat. We want to win our matches while displaying exciting ice hockey at the same time. Furthermore, this is an important tournament for our players, they need to participate in international games so that we're ready to return to the major competitions. A strong squad has been picked for the Liga Stavok Big National Team Tour, which includes both young stars and already established leading players.

First Vice President of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation and Russia 25 head coach Roman Rotenberg:

- During one of our motivational meetings, we showed our players videos of the most memorable victories achieved by the USSR and Russian national teams at prestigious tournaments. It was important to look every player in the eye and see how they react. Everyone is burning with desire, so this means that we have a team containing both talented guys and true patriots. They all want to improve their game and help the team win. We want to win the Liga Stavok Big National Team Tour, we'll try to display entertaining ice hockey along the way! We want to create a true celebration for the fans, this will help improve the television ratings. We will do everything possible in order to make ice hockey the number one sport in Russia.

Russia captain Vasily Glotov:

- Being captain of the national team comes with responsibility, but I'm really happy about it. I like this pressure! I need to prove that the coaches made the right decision. We have a friendly atmosphere within our group, we all know each other well. We're representing our country and we feel great.

Russia goalkeeper Nikita Serebryakov:

- There is a wonderful, productive atmosphere in the team. We have talented, hard working guys in the group. My teammates have a winning mentality, we will do everything to make the fans happy with our performances and achieved the desired results.
