Future Cup. Belarus U20 - Russia U18 - 6:5 OT

In a thrilling finale to the Future Cup in Minsk, the under 18 Russian national team came agonisingly close to winning the tournament against the under 20 Belarusian hosts, suffering a bitter 5:6 defeat in overtime.
Belarus opened up a confident three-goal lead in the first period, but our players subsequently embarked on a remarkable comeback which saw them score five goals on the trot.
With only six minutes remaining, Russia were still up by two. However, the more experienced and physically stronger Belarusian side fought back with a vengeance, forcing overtime before netting the all-important OT winner.
