Interviews after Russia U18 thrashed Kazakhstan U20

09.02.2024
Interviews were taken following Russia U18's heavy 8:1 triumph over the under 20 Kazakh national team at the Future Cup in Minsk, Belarus.

Russia U18 head coach Alexander Titov:

- Following an initial slow start in the first period, we subsequently improved in the second and put together neat passing plays. We can say the same about the third frame, even if there were some mistakes. Nevertheless, if we look at the game as a whole, then we can say that it was an excellent performance for two out of the three periods.

Russia U18 forward Yegor Surin:

- Maybe the day's break affected our performance level. Kazakhstan kept us at bay in the first frame with their defensive play, but then we did manage to score our goals with great play. Did we relax in the third period? No, but we should have been more effective. We'll now prepare to face Belarus, we travelled here in order to win the tournament!
