Russia's statistics at the 2016 World Championship

- During the tournament, Russia netted 43 goals, and this has matched 2012's record.

- Only Ilya Kovalchuk has played more World Championship matches than Alexander Ovechkin - 84 versus 73.

- Alexei Emelin is fourth placed in the list among Russian defensemen for amount of World Championship games - 46.

- Anton Belov has six goals at World Championships, and he trails Ilya Byakin (8) and Ilya Nikulin (10) in this component.

- Captain Pavel Datsyuk has made 27 assists at separate World Championships, while Vadim Shipachyov has 21.

- Defensemen Anton Belov, Nikita Zaitsev and Dmitry Orlov, as well as forwards Evgeny Dadonov, Pavel Datsyuk, Artemiy Panarin and Vadim Shipachyov all had their most productive World Championship. 

- Pavel Datsyuk made three assists in one World Championship fixture for the first time, and Maxim Chudinov took the same amount of points as he did last year.

- Also, Pavel Datsyuk, Sergei Mozyakin and Vadim Shipachyov have moved into the Russian top ten for all time World Championship points.

- Alexander Ovechkin was awarded with his 8th World Championship medal - 3 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze. Sergei Mozyakin has two golds, two silver and one bronze, Sergei Shirokov boasts two golds, one silver and one bronze, and both Pavel Datsyuk and Alexei Emelin have a gold and bronze.

- Evgeny Dadonov is the only Russian player to play every one of the country's past 30 World Championship matches.
