Reaction after Russia 25 defeated Belarus

16.12.2023
Interviews were taken after Russia 25 defeated Belarus 5:3 in the second match of the 2023 Channel One Cup in Saint Petersburg.

Russia 25 head coach Roman Rotenberg:

- Thank you to our fans who provided our team with the required energy. All of our players competed with great desire today, they wanted to prove their worth and play well for the benefit of their country. As a consequence of wasting several opportunities, we allowed the Belarusians to gain a foothold. We must point out just how committed the opponents were, they blocked plenty of pucks and provided us with a tough challenge. Will we make a goalkeeping change for our next game? Our strongest players will be on the ice.

Russia 25 goalkeeper Nikita Serebryakov:

- It was a challenging game for me personally, Belarus didn't unleash many shots on goal. Unfortunately, they did manage to take advantage of their counter-attack opportunities, but the main thing is that we found our strength and emerged victorious. Will I play again tomorrow against the Kazakhs? I don't know, that's a question for our coaching staff.
