The 2023 World Hockey Forum took place

The VIII World Hockey Forum took place on December 12th, an event which has established itself as the main platform for discussing pressing issues concerning ice hockey.

Experts, athletes, coaches, officials and referees discussed many topics related to the development of ice hockey. Over 1,600 specialists from more than ten countries participated in the forum via an online format.

The main topics for discussion within the main program were:

- Strategic development of ice hockey;
- Medicine in hockey: where pharmacology ends and doping begins;
- Creation of new opportunities with partnerships with bookmaking companies;
- Standards of play in youth ice hockey.

Issues of playing standards in youth hockey were also discussed during a parallel coaching seminar. Speeches were made concerning the following topics:

- Features of the preparation and development of goalkeepers at the initial stage of training (7-8 years);
- Features of the initial training stage for young players at the V.V. Petrov Hockey Academy;
- A comprehensive system for developing confident skating skills of a player using a processing approach and system analysis;
- How to evaluate and improve the work of a youth ice hockey coach;
- The forming of line formations in ice hockey based on the neurodynamic characteristics of players of different roles.
