First youth 3-on-3 competition in Almetyevsk

On the 2nd and 3rd of December, the U16 3-on-3 championship for federal districts hosted by the Neftyanik Central Cultural Enterprise in Almetyevsk.

It became the first all-Russian junior 3-on-3 ice hockey competition.

As part of the competition, 46 matches were played over two days. Following the results of the group stage, the teams representing Moscow and the Volga, Central and North Western federal districts advanced from Group A. In Group B, teams from Saint Petersburg, the Ural and Siberian federal districts and the Ak Bars Kazan academy progressed.

In the end, Moscow managed to defeat Siberia 1:0 in the third place playoff, before Ural triumphed with a score of 4:2 over Saint Petersburg in the grand final.
