- It's always nice to win. With such a desire and committment, the Olympic team will progress. Unfortunately, Igor Shestyorkin's injury has spoiled the mood - it seems to be serious. Overall, we don't care who we play against, if you have the Russian flag on your chest you carry a lot of responsibility.

- I congratulate the Russian Olympic team with their win. We dominated in the third period, but we conceded a third goal after we had equalised. I liked how Russia played - they have big players who play for some of the KHL's top teams. It was interesting to play against them.

Alexander Dergachyov, Russian Olympic team forward:

- We are young and hungry to win. We have a strong team spirit, and it's easy to communicate with one another. We have our own schemes, and Oleg Bratash has his systems. Playing for the Olympic team means a lot - any call up to the national team is always interesting, and I have a great desire to show what I am made of and help the team. Also, it's always good to change scenery for a bit, especially during the pre-season.
