Vladimir Yurzinov's seminar in Sochi

In Sochi, honoured USSR and Russian ice hockey coach Vladimir Yurzinov gave a seminar for youth team coaches and players.

Inside the Sirius Centre, a place created near the Olympic park upon the initiative of the Russian President Vladimir Putin, there are currently ongoing courses for teams which have players born in 2002 - Dizel Penza, Varyagi, Belie Medvedi and Shkola Bobrova. The coaching workshop rna for one hour, and there were conversations held with both players and coaches. Guests of the seminar enjoyed videos containing training content of Vladimir Yurzinov's previous players such as Alexei Yashin, Darius Kasparaitis, Artyom Anisimov and Saku Koivu. Vladimir also gave important tips of advice for the future.

Russian Olympic national team players Andrei Mironov, Vladislav Gavrikov and Andrei Svetlakov were also present at the event. Everyone at the seminar were shown clips of the youth national team's best goals at previous World Championships, and Andrei Svetlakov took everyone through one of his two goals at January's World Championship final. After the seminar finished, the young players could take photos with their heroes and had the opportunity to ask questions.
