18.12.2021
Today, on December 18, the senior Russian national team will compete against the Czech Republic in the third match of the Channel One Cup.

The tournament is the second stage of the 2021/2022 Euro Hockey Tour.

In the first two games of the competition, our players managed to earn two hard-fought victories at the CSKA Arena, defeating Canada 4:3 with goals from Yegor Korshkov, Alexander Elesin, Nikita Nesterov and Vadim Shipachyov before beating Sweden 1:0. Vyacheslav Voynov tallied the decisive marker midway through the third period to see off the Swedish challenge.

Goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov participated in both of those two matches.

For their part, however, the Czech Republic conceded a narrow 2:3 penalty shootout defeat to Finland at home in Prague in their only game of the tournament so far.

Puck-drop is scheduled for 15:30 local time in Moscow. Channel One will provide a live television broadcast in Russia, whereas you can follow text updates on our official Twitter account.
