14.04.2021
The president of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation, Vladislav Tretiak, and the first vice-president of the RIHF and the general manager of the Russian national team, Roman Rotenberg, spoke to the senior women's national team in Novogorsk ahead of the upcoming 2021 IIHF Women's World Championship.

The team will fly to Canada on April 22, where quarantine and medical regulations will be adhered to. On May 4, a friendly match will be played against the USA, before the competition will begin on May 8 with a game with Switzerland.

Vladislav Tretiak:

- Even when I played for the national team, the leadership of the federation and the Ministry of Sport always spoke to the players before a tournament began. At the World Championship, each athlete is representing both his country and his name. I wish our players success and good fortune at the competition, the most important thing is that they will return to Russia with medals.

Roman Rotenberg:

- I can see that the players are ready for the World Championship, we had a good conversation with them and wished them luck. We're proud that all of our teams are of a high level. All of the players are full of confidence, and I am sure that they will be successful. We always have the maximum target in mind.
