Sporting program at the Sirius Educational Centre

Between July 6-27, a special sporting program will take place at the Sirius Educational Centre for 137 ice hockey players born in 2005, who are all candidates for the under 16 Russian national team.
They were selected by specialists of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF). Players representing teams from Moscow, Saint Petersburg the North-West, Central and Ural Federal Districts were selected. The objectives of the program are to develop the players, support them professionally and analyse their potential of playing for the under 16 national side. They will train both on and off the ice.
Futhermore, from July 16-26, the players will play in the Sirius Cup, split up into five teams according to their regions. They have also been trying their hand at floorball and ball hockey as a part of the training process. Coaches are overseeing training sessions in accordance with RIHF recommendations and regulations.
