In Novogorsk, the under 16 Russian national team hosted the under 17 Latvian national team for a friendly match between the two nations.

Nikita Buruyanov and Daniil Guschin scored the crucial two goals, sealing a 2:1 Russia U16 victory.

On February, the team will travel to the Czech Republic to participate in a Four Nations tournament.
