Interviews after Russia U18 defeated Belarus U18 in Minsk

04.02.2026
Interviews were taken after Russia U18 comfortably defeated Belarus U18 at the Future Cup.

Russia U18 head coach Anton Korredor:

"We wanted to control the puck well and play with short shifts. The guys did a great job, they controlled the majority of the match and deservedly won. We relaxed a bit in the third period, so this is why we had some problems during the closing stages. The 3-on-3 competition is a good chance for us to clear our heads psychologically ahead of the upcoming two games at the main tournament."

Russia U18 forward Andrei Pustovoi:

"All of us gave 100%. If we look at the third period, then we can see that we lost a bit of focus. It's a shame that we couldn't keep a clean sheet. Tomorrow's 3-on-3 tournament? It'll be good fun! 3-on-3 ice hockey always involves a lot of puck handling and skating. Nonetheless, it isn't just a fun competition; we want to win it too. We won't underestimate our opponents at all."
