2017 Winter Universiade. Quarter-final. Russia - Japan

On the 4th of February, the Russian men's student national team will play their 2017 Winter Universiade quarter-final match against Japan in Kazakhstan.

Having played with the Japanese just yesterday, these opponents are already familiar with each other. Russia will be hoping for a repeat of Friday's match too, with our players thrashing Japan 14:0 in that game. That win enabled Russia to top the group.

Beating South Korea 5:2 and losing to Latvia in overtime 3:4. Japan managed to book themselves a quarter-final berth. However, they are serious underdogs coming into this fixture.
