Women's World Championship. Canada - Russia

The senior Russian women's national team will play their third match of the World Championship against Canada.

Our team currently sit in third place of Group A with three points earned from the 2:1 win against Finland. However, in the previous game, Russia were thrashed 0:7 by reigning world champions America.

To the surprise of many, Canada find themselves in bottom spot. They have failed tp pick up a point yet, falling 0:2 to the USA and dropping a shock 3:4 defeat against Finland. Remember that the top two teams from Group A will be given a bye to the semi-finals, while the others compete in the quarter-final stage.

Yesterday, on their day off, Russia's women held a training session both on and off the ice.
