Russia U18 are preparing to play Belarus

16.04.2017

The under 18 Russian national are preparing to face Belarus in the World Championship group stage. After training, forward Kirill Slepets shared his expectations from the upcoming game against the Belarusians.

Russia U18 forward Kirill Slepets:

- When scoring against the USA on the powerplay, the coaches put me on a special teams line which had not been together before. However, we still managed to score. It's really disappointing to lose in such a game, we came close to saving the match. Nevertheless, I think that this experience will help us in the future.

I don't think that there is a big difference between players born in 1999 and 2000. We could have won a medal last year. It's interesting to play against all opponents at the World Championship, there are no weak opponents.
