2022 Olympic Games. Denmark - ROC - 0:2

11.02.2022
In the second match of the 2022 Olympic Games, the ROC men's ice hockey team managed to keep Denmark at bay, earning a nervy 2:0 victory.

Pavel Karnaukhov pounced on a big rebound eight minutes into the second stanza to open the scoring, before Kirill Semyonov hit the empty net in the closing stages after the Danes had opted to pull impressive goaltender Frederik Dichow for the extra skater.

ROC goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov stopped all 16 Danish shots he faced to tally his second consecutive shutout at the competition, in particular pulling off tough saves to deny the lively Nicklas Jensen. The Jokerit forward notably fired wide of the gaping right corner late in the third period when on the powerplay.

Our players will now prepare to face the Czech Republic tomorrow on Saturday. Puck-drop is scheduled for 16:10 Moscow time.
