Two teams were not allowed to participate in the second stage of the Russian championship for U18 female players

06.12.2021
The second stage of the Russian championship for U18 female players started in Nizhny Novgorod Region on December 4.

Teams representing Yaroslavl Region and the Republic of Bashkortostan were not allowed to participate in the competition, since they did not submit documents concerning the list of players and the document determining the athlete's affiliation to the organisation - the Training Agreement.

The Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) repeatedly informed the teams about their violations before their departure for Nizhny Novgorod. Unfortunately, the teams' management ignored all of the warnings. Upon arrival of the teams for the competition, the documents were not submitted either in electronic or printed form.

Guided by the official championship regulations, the Competition Directorate made the decision not to allow the teams representing Yaroslavl Region and the Republic of Bashkortostan to participate in the tournament. The RIHF has sent requests for clarification of the situation to the management of the two teams in question.

If the two teams do subsequently adhere to the regulations, they will be granted permission to participate in the third stage of the Russian championship for U18 female players, which is scheduled to take place in February 2022.
