Russian national team press-conference ahead of the 2021/2022 Euro Hockey Tour

Ahead of the upcoming first stage of the 2021/2022 Euro Hockey Tour in Finland, a press-conference concerning the senior Russian national team took place.
The coaching staff and the squad participated in the event.
Acting head coach of the senior Russian national team Oleg Bratash:
- We're taking a young squad with us to Finland, it contains candidates for both the World Junior Championship and the Olympic Games. It will be a good test for these players at this level. Dmitry Voronkov will be our captain, with Marat Khusnutdinov and Alexander Nikishin acting as the assistant captains. We are counting on Yaroslav Askarov for the World Junior Championship, so he will receive time on the ice at this tournament.
Senior Russian national team forward Dmitry Voronkov:
- I am really happy to have been named the team's captain, I think that I will cope with the responsibility. I hadn't discussed this with anyone previously, I've only just found out that I will be the captain!
Senior Russian national team goalkeeper Yaroslav Askarov:
- I know the guys in this team, we will get used to playing with each other again when we begin training shortly. Everything is fine, we're preparing for the upcoming games.

Russia will compete against Finland (November 11), Sweden (November 13) and the Czech Republic (November 14) at the competition.
