Pavel Bure has joined the IIHF Council

On September 25, as a part of the Semi-Annual Congress of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) in Saint Petersburg, the IIHF Council members were elected. Pavel Bure, the special advisor of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) on international affairs, was elected a member of the Council for the first time.
The IIHF Council is the executive body of the IIHF. It consists of the IIHF president, three vice-presidents and nine councilors elected by the Congress for four or five-year terms. The Council meets at least four times a year: before the Semi-Annual and Annual Congresses, as well as during the season, when at least two working meetings are held.
