In the first of a series of planned friendly matches, the under 17 Russian national team managed to defeat the Finnish hosts, registering a confident 4:1 victory on the road in Vuokatti.

Yegor Rimashevsky, Ilya Polyakov, Matvei Maximov and Timur Mukhanov all hit the target, with reliable goalkeeper Yegor Zavragin stopping 19 of the 20 shots he faced.

The two teams will face each other for the second time tomorrow in Kuhmo, Finland. Puck-drop is scheduled for 17:00 Moscow time.
