2021 Hlinka Gretzky Cup. Switzerland U18 - Russia U18 - 2:9

In the second match of the 2021 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, the under 18 Russian national team comfortably saw off the challenge of Switzerland, earning a routine 9:2 victory.

Six of the nine goals arrived during a second-period blitz, with Matvei Michkov, Kirill Kudryatsev, Semyon Sinyatkin, Ruslan Gazizov, Alexander Perevalov and Artyom Barabosha all hitting the target. Ivan Miroshnichenko, Perevalov and Michkov subsequently rounded off the show with a further three markers in the third period.

Goalkeeper Sergei Murashov stopped 23 of the 25 Swiss shots he faced.

Russia will now prepare to take on the Czech Republic tomorrow. Puck-drop is scheduled for 20:00 Moscow time.
