2021 World Championship. Slovakia - Russia

The senior Russian national team will face Slovakia in the third match of the 2021 IIHF World Championship in Riga, Latvia.

So far, both teams are unbeaten in the competition, with Russia having beaten the Czech Republic (4:3) and Great Britain (7:1), and the Slovaks seeing off the challenge of Belarus (5:2) and the British (2:1)

Russia, the Czech Republic, Belarus, Slovakia, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland and Great Britain are all competing in Group A together. Group B consists of Germany, Latvia, Canada, Finland, Norway, Kazakhstan, the USA and Italy.

Yesterday, our players trained in these following lines:

Group 1

Goalkeepers: Samonov, Bocharov.
Whites: Zub, Zadorov - Barabanov, Shalunov, Voronkov.
Blues: Gavrikov, Provorov - Slepyshev, Karnaukhov, Tolchinsky.
Reds: Ozhiganov, Rafikov - Kuzmenko, Morozov, Burdasov.
Blacks: Dronov, A. Marchenko - Shvets-Rogovoi, Kamenev, Timkin.

Group 2

Goalkeepers: Bocharov, Fedotov.
Forwards: Galimov, Safonov.

Puck-drop is scheduled for 16:15 Moscow time. Match TV will provide a live television broadcast in Russia.
