The Russian Ice Hockey Federation analyses the statistics to emerge from the second match of the Swedish Hockey Games against Sweden in Malmo, the third stage of the 2020/2021 Euro Hockey Tour;
- This was the 100th Euro Hockey Tour meeting between these two nations. So far, Russia have claimed 53 victories, one game finished in a draw and the Swedes have earned 46 wins. The goal difference is 273-257 in the Russians's favour;
- Never before had Russia earned three successive penalty shootout victories against one particular opponent in the Euro Hockey Tour. Our players had previously claimed shootout triumphs over Sweden in Helsinki, Finland and in Moscow, Russia;
- Russia now boast 40 penalty shootout wins, with 28 of them having arrived in the Euro Hockey Tour.
- Forward Danila Moiseev became the 30th Russian player to score on his debut in the Euro Hockey Tour;
- Alexander Samonov is the first Russian goalkeeper in history who emergec victorious in two shootouts against the Swedes in one single campaign.
