2021 World Junior Championship. Russia U20 - Sweden U20 - 4:3 OT

In the concluding match of the group stage of the 2021 IIHF World Championship in Canada, Russia edged past Sweden, earning an entertaining 4:3 victory in overtime.
Yegor Afanasyev and Rodion Amirov - on the powerplay - handed the Russians a 2:1 lead in the first period. However, in the second stanza, the Swedes did equalise with Alexander Holtz banking the puck in off Yaroslav Askarov.
Defenseman Kirill Kirsanov gave Russia another advantage with a superb wrister on the powerplay in the 50th minute. Nevertheless, with 60 seconds remaining in regulation time, Noel Gunler deflected a slap shot past Askarov to secure a point for Sweden.
Marat Khusnutdinov subsequently grabbed the win for Russia in overtime when pouncing on a big rebound on the powerplay.
