13.11.2020
Between November 12 and December 3, the November Ice Hockey Program is being held at the Sirius Educational Centre in Sochi, an intense educational scheme for young ice hockey players.

A grand total of 225 players of teams representing the cities of Moscow and Saint Petersburg and the Central, Ural, Volga Territory, North West, Far East and South federal regions will participate in the program. They have all been recommended by the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF).

During the program, the hopefuls will take part in master-classes organised by leading Russian players and coaches, focusing on their coordination skills and both tactical and technical aspects of the game. The scheme was put together by famous ice hockey players including Sergei Nemchinov, Dmitry Frolov, Vitaly Atyushov and current Olympic national team goalkeeping coach Alexander Kolobkov.

"Four training sessions are held per day," stated Kolobkov. "Specialists are working with the players in accordance with their position on the ice. Furthermore, alongside our trainings on the ice, we have physical training sessions planned in the gym too. One of our key goals is to pick out candidates for the under 16 Russian national team. RIHF experts and scouts are carefully studying our trainings in order to single out the leading players."
