The RIHF president has awarded CSKA Moscow their trophy and medals for the 2019/2020 Russian championship

The president of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF), Vladislav Tretiak, has presented CSKA Moscow with their trophy and medals for winning the 2019/2020 domestic championship.

Rene Fasel, the president of the International Ice Hockey Federation, also participated in the ceremony which was held at the Ice Hockey Museum in Moscow on August 31. Furthermore, during the same event, Zvezda Moscow - the farm club of CSKA - received their awards for having become champions of the 2019/2020 Silk Road Cup.

Both the KHL and VHL were prematurely ended in the 2019/2020 campaign as a consequence of the coronavirus pandemic. The RIHF subsequently took the decision to crown the Russian champions of the two leagues based on results in the regular season and playoffs.
