A celebratory evening took place at the Ice Hockey Museum in Moscow on August 17 in connection with the 65th birthday of Vladimir Myshkin, the induction of Yury Lyapkin to the Jewish Sporting Hall of Fame and the USSR under 20 national team's victory at the 1975 World Junior Championship.

Two-time Olympic champion, honoured Russian coach Boris Mikhaylov:

- Such events are very important. I am grateful to the Russian Ice Hockey Federation, the Russian Federation Ministry of Sport and the Ice Hockey Museum for gathering all of us together today. Due to our age, we don't see each other often anymore, so these meetings are great. I am in excellent relations with all players who I played against or played with.

Director of the Department of Elite Level Sport, Alexei Morozov:

- Our legendary veterans are an example for everyone. Without them, the younger players wouldn't know what to aim for. I am thankful to them for this.
