In memory of Valery Vasiliev

Valery Vasiliev, who won the Olympic Games in 1972 and 1976 as a defenseman of the USSR national team, would have turned 71 years of age today on August 3.
The two-time Olympic champion sadly passed away on 19 April 2012. During his successful career, Valery also claimed Olympic silver twice while winning the World Championship in 1970, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1978, 1979, 1981 and 1982 and the Canada Cup in 1981.
