02.02.2020
During a visit to Novosibirsk, which took place in connection with the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) and Total Vostok, RIHF president Vladislav Tretiak held a business meeting with city mayor Anatoly Lokot and Novosibirsk Region governor Andrei Travnikov.

The parties discussed matters involving preparation for the 2023 IIHF World Junior Championship, including the construction of the arena and transport links. All work is going according to plan.

RIHF president Vladislav Tretiak:

- The World Junior Championship will be a major event for Novosibirsk in 2023. Plenty of world stars will travel to the city. There will be a large stadium, alleys, a new metro station and other wonderful new things for the city. In the west, it's thought that Siberia is very far away and that bears walk on the streets everywhere, but Novosibirsk is a fantastic city. We are waiting for a lot of guests!

Mayor of Novosibirsk Anatoly Lokot:

- The city, region and the Russian Ice Hockey Federation earned the right to host the event, we're preparing for the World Junior Championship. Thousands of children will then have the opportunity to use the rink after the competition ends. Ice hockey is the national sport!
