In the first match of the 2020 Youth Olympic Games in Switzerland, the under 16 Russian national team were far too strong for Canada, earning a comfortable 6-2 victory.

Matvey Michkov (2), Ruslan Gazizov, Vyacheslav Malov (2) and Ilya Kvochko scored the Russian goals.

On Monday, Russia will participate in the second match of the group, stage, with the game against Denmark scheduled to begin at 16:00 Moscow time.
