In the concluding friendly match before the 2020 IIHF World Junior Championship, the under 20 Russian national team put Slovakia to the sword in Zilina, claiming an emphatic 9:1 victory.

Alexander Romanov, Ivan Morozov, Alexander Khovanov, Yegor Sokolov, Maxim Groshev, Nikita Alexandrov, Dmitry Voronkov and Vasily Podkolzin hit the target for Russia to secure a well-deserved, morale-boosting win.

Russia will now prepare for the maiden game of the 2020 World Junior Championship against the Czech Republic on December 26. Puck drop is scheduled for 17:00 Moscow time.
