2019/2020 VHL Russian Classic. Rubin - Zauralye - 2:4

In Tyumen, the 2019/2020 VHL Russian Classic took place between Rubin and Zauralye, with the latter claiming a tough 4:2 victory.

Zauralye, sitting in fifth place of the VHL regular season standings, gained a two-goal lead in the first period with markers from Kamil Shiafotdinov and Yury Platonov.

In the second frame, Denis Yachmenev responded for Rubin, but Platonov made it 3:1 for Zauralye at the start of the third frame.

Later on, Georgy Berdyukov notched another Rubin goal, however, Ilya Avramenko iced it for the away side with an empty netter.

President of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation, Vladislav Tretiak, was in attendance.

Rubin, despite the defeat, continue leading the table.
