Russia U20 roster for the 2019 CIBC Canada Russia Series

The under 20 Russian national team roster for the upcoming 2019 CIBC Canada Russia Series has been named.

The training camp will begin on October 29.

Russia will play six games against teams fr om the QMJHL (Quebec league), OHL (Ontario league) and the WHL (Western league).

28 players competing in Russia have been called up to participate in the training camp:

Goalkeepers: Danil Isaev (Lokomotiv Yaroslavl), Amir Miftakhov (Bars Kazan), Gleb Nosov (Zauralye Kurgan).

Defensemen: Gleb Babintsev (Zauralye Kurgan), Danil Valitov (Avtomobilist Ekaterinburg), Mikhail Gordeev (HC Sochi), Nikita Zorkin (SKA-Neva Saint Petersburg), Anton Malyshev (Buran Voronezh), Stepan Ostrovskiy (Admiral Vladivostok), Daniil Pylenkov (Vityaz Podolsk), Sergei Telegin (Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk), Igor Usmanov (Lada Tolyatti), Pyotr Yasinskiy (Traktor Chelyabinsk).

Forwards: Rodion Amirov (Salavat Yulaev Ufa), Maxim Groshev (Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk), Alexander Darin (Loko Yaroslavl), Timur Ibragimov, Ivan Morozov, Vasily Podkolzin, Danil Savunov (all SKA-Neva Saint Petersburg), Lev Komissarov, Nikita Rtischev (both CSKA Moscow), Ilya Kruglov, Vladislav Mikhaylov (both Dynamo Moscow), Pavel Rotenberg (Dynamo Saint Petersburg), Yegor Stepanov (Chelmet Chelyabinsk), Maxim Sorkin (Zvezda Moscow), Zakhar Shablovskiy (Spartak Moscow).

On November 2, the final squad squad for the series will fly to Canada, wh ere three days later the CIBC Canada Russia Series will begin with a game against the QMJHL in St. John.

Defensemen Yegor Zamula (Calgary Hitmen) and Nikita Okhotyuk (Ottawa-67) and forwards Yegor Afanasyev (Windsor Spitfire), Nikita Alexandrov (Charlottetown Islanders), Dmitry Zavgorodniy (Rimouski Oceanic), Ruslan Iskhakov (Connecticut University), Yegor Sokolov (Cape Breton Eagles) and Alexander Khovanov (Moncton Wildcats).

The training camp for the Russia U20 team preparing for a Four Nations tournament in Finland will train in Novogorsk between the 2nd and 6th of November. The team will travel to Finland on November 7.
