2019 World Championship. Russia - USA - 4:3

In the quarter-final of the 2019 IIHF World Championship, Russia defeated the USA 4:3 in a tense match, in turn qualifying for the Last Four.

Nikita Gusev and Mikhail Sergachyov scored in the first period, but in the second, Brady Skjei halved the deficit for the Americans.

It turned out to be a thrilling, end-to-end third frame. Kirill Kaprizov and Noah Hanifin traded quickfire goals, and after Mikhail Grigorenko reinstated the two-goal lead for Russia, Alex DeBrincat made it 4:3 with two minutes to go.

Nevertheless, thanks to excellent goalkeeping from Andrei Vasilevskiy, Russia held on to claim a thrilling 4:3 triumph!
