In the sixth match of the 2019 IIHF World Championship, Russia gave a clinical performance against Switzerland, claiming a 3:0 victory.
During a fast-paced, intense first period, Artyom Anisimov battled the loose puck after Dmitry Orlov's initial shot was saved by Swiss goalkeeper Leonardo Genoni.
On the powerplay, Nikita Kucherov extended the lead to two from the right faceoff circle, before the same player iced it with a third marker five minutes from time. Goalkeeper Alexander Georgiev, who was named Man of the Match, saved all 31 shots he faced.
Russia will next play on Tuesday against Sweden in the concluding game of the group stage.
