Meeting in the Ministry of sports

September 23, 2013 expert council meeting for preparation for the 2014 Winter Olympics was held in the Ministry of sports of Russia. RIHF Vice-president Nikolai Uryupin and Women’s National Team Head Coach Mikhail Chekanov represented Russian Ice Hockey Federation.

 - During the meeting we listened to report about work done by Women’s National Team Head Coach from July till September, - said Nikolai Uryupin. – Expert council members asked questions on vital issues connected with preparation for the 2014 Winter Olympics.

- We had 4 training camps during the past 4 months, besides, we held 8 International games where we achieved our basic goals, - pointed Chekanov. – Exhibition games against Czech Republic team, The Four Nations Cup in Finland and also two exhibition games against Canada helped us to identify both advantages and disadvantages of our team. In general, the meeting was held successfully and effectively according to the issues on the agenda.
