In the first 2018/2019 Euro Hockey Challenge match between Latvia and Russia at the Arena Riga, our team claimed an exciting 4:2 victory.

Buoyed by the home support, the Latvians made a positive start to proceedings, opening up a two-goal lead in the opening period with markers from Martins Dzierkals and Roberts Bukarts,

Nevertheless, Artyom Zub got Russia back into proceedings in the second stanza, before Nail Yakupov and Anatoly Golyshev struck gold in the third frame to give our team the advantage.

Rushan Rafikov then hit the empty net in the final minute to seal a thrilling 4:2 win!
