Valeri Fesyuk: Channel One Cup will be the feast for Sochi

Meeting dedicated to organizational aspects of organizing Russian round of Euro Hockey Tour Channel One Cup (December 19-22, Sochi, Ice Palace “Bolshoy”) was held in the Ministry of sports of Russia. Meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Sport of Russia Dmitry Nagornykh, Russian Ice Hockey Federation Executive Director Valeri Fesyuk, Head of the Hockey Development Department of the RIHF Nikolai Uryupin, Head of the winter sports development and coordination of preparation for the Olympic games department Alexey Morozov, first Deputy Director of FGAU “Management of sports” program of the Ministry of Sports of Russia Mikhail Seredkin. RIHF Executive Director Valeri Fesyuk: “We discussed key issues, which are directly connected with organizational aspects of the tournament. In particular these are such questions as  system of entrance to sports venues, ticket program and transportation and so on. It was decided to establish working groups on these directions. Last year Sochi hosted the IIHF Ice Hockey World U18 Championship and All-Russian Ice Hockey Amateur teams Festival of “Night Hockey League”, that’s why we are going to do our best both to make the 2013 Channel One Cup a holiday for all the hockey lovers in the region and to maintain its high international status.
